around town – Governors Island & DUMBO’s art festival this weekend

Opening Night Friday 9/24 –  If the Jersey Shore is the place you’ll be this weekend then head over to Asbury Parks City Arts festival.  I’ll be at my daughter’s in Barnegat on Sunday and will try to attend either before or after visiting her if time permits.

Saturday & Sunday 11 – 6 pm – Governors Island’s Art Fair ends this weekend so if you haven’t gone yet, it’s not too late.  I have 3 of my nudes exhibiting with The GreatNude in building 12, section H, room 4.   There’s so much to see and it’s free including free ferries from both Brooklyn and Manhattan.

Friday, Saturday and Sunday head over to Brooklyn –  DUMBO for their 14th Annual Art festival.  Check out the exhibits at A.I.R. gallery, Smack Mellon as well as others.  Jene and I hope to get over to Brooklyn on Saturday.

Next week kicks off with NY’s Affordable Art Fair with many of the areas finest galleries participating.   Be sure to stop by Emmanuel Fremin Gallery’s booth.

I’ve been short on free time lately but I wanted to get this info out there…   Surround yourself in the arts.  Meet and greet local, national and even international artists at these events, talk to curators about what’s hot in the art industry.  You are sure to enjoy yourself.

Hope to see you around town.
