Friends Without a Border – Join the exciting evening filled with art! Over 120 fine art photographs and books will be auctioned to support Angkor Hospital for Children. You will receive a museum-quality catalog and a paddle number with your donation of $50.

We are so honored to be a part of this the 14th annual Friends of Friends Photography auction.  Kenro Izu established the Angkor Hospital for Children in Siem Reap –  completed in 1999.  His devotion and fundraising has enabled the foundation to build a satellite Hospital at Sot Nikum, a more rural area of Cambodia.  Both Jene and I have donated several of our prints and our work has been accepted  by the curator for this prestigious art auction along with prints of some very famous photographers donated by some of the finest galleries around.

Met Life

Jene’s image Met Life had earned him one of his first photography awards and is part of a NY art collector’s stash.

During our trip to Cambodia in 2008, we became familar with Kenro’s work and knew that after spending 8 days with the Cambodian people that we wanted to do something to give back.  Their warmth and open hearts bore into us.  With the sale of my first image exhibited at Soho in Hoho Gallery, I decided to donate a portion of my profits  from that body of work “Cambodia – Past and Present Tense”.  And so it began…  Jene and I contacted FWAB, volunteering our services at the AHC’s  10th anniversary fundraiser held in April of 2009 along with donating a 20×24″ framed signed ltd. edition “One Dollar, One Dollar” and Jene Youtt’s “Timeless”

A $1000 goes a long way in Cambodia

Our framed prints can be seen in this years auction catalog, donated by us, courtesy of Emmanuel Fremin Gallery.  We are very excited, proud and humble to be a part of Kenro’s dream and reality.

Giving the gift of art, can also be giving the gift of life.

Namaste,
