March Madness – the art world, not the NCAA

Just because the Armory Show and SCOPE have left town doesn’t mean NY isn’t still teeming with art.  Some more affordable than others.   Chelsea is the place to go, and Emmanuel Fremin Gallery has an opening this Thursday.  A second exhibit of a unique photographer and his brilliant B&W compositon prints.  Thomas Barbey’s Dreams  from the dark room.  This is Barbey’s second solo exhibit at the gallery.

Rather than delving into photoshop to create, Barbey does it the old fashioned way – in the dark room.  The process has been around for ages but his images are unique and worth taking a look at.

You can read more about Barbey on Jene’s blog  Fuzzypictures,  but better yet, come to the artist opening reception on Thursday, March 15th  6-8 pm
