Ahhhh… tis the season of giving

And what could be better than giving a gift that also gives back.

Since our trip to Cambodia in 2008, Jene Youtt and I have been donating fine art photography prints to Friends Without A Border’s annual Friends of Friends Photo Auctions in NYC.  This year at a preview hosted by the Howard Greenberg Gallery, I learned that the Anghor Hospital for Children and it’s satellite clinic in Siem Reap are now sustainable.  Kenro Izu, who founded the hospital has turned his dream into reality and is now working his magic in Laos.

Kenro’s tireless efforts of fundraising touched so many in the art world: artists, galleries and the patrons of the arts.

So if you are looking for affordable photography as a special gift to someone or for yourself, please join FWAB on Tuesday, December 9th for their 17th Annual Friends of Friends Photography Auction.

An entrance fee of $75 entitles you to an auction paddle and cocktail reception.

Preview and cocktail reception 6:00 – 7:00 pm

Live auction 7:00 – 8:30pm

Metropolitan Pavilion

123 West 18th Street  – 2nd floor

NYC, NY
So give a gift that doesn’t stop giving.  Your donation or purchase will help save the lives of many children.

All the artwork can be viewed online at www.fwabphotoauction.org   This year Jene has donated the image “Ascending”  which earned Honorable Mention at the 2009 International Photography Awards.
